Here’s some helpful info to support you and your teen through the steps of graduated licensing.

Graduated Licensing

Getting your first driver’s licence is exciting! (Okay, maybe not the test-taking part.) We’re here to help you succeed however we can with tips, quizzes, apps, and more.

Get Your L

To get your L, you’ll need to get 40 out of 50 questions right on a multiple-choice knowledge test. Passing it ensures you understand the rules of the road. It also means you’ve started thinking about safe driving behaviours before you start driving with a supervisor.

Get Your N

To get your N, you’ll need to pass the Class 7 road test.

Get Your Full Licence

Here’s the last step in graduated licensing… getting your full licence! Congrats on getting this far. You’re almost there! You just need to pass one more road test.

For Parents of Teen Drivers

Having a teen who’s learning to drive can be an exciting and stressful time, having to balance giving them some independence, keeping them safe and having the confidence to lend them your car in the process.

Book a Road Test

Ready to take your road test? For passenger vehicles (cars) and motorcycles, the earliest date is on your licence. There’s no rush though—be sure to take the test when you feel ready.
